Based on the ancient Mayans who known worldwide for their astronomical, mathematical and scientific advancement, it is believed that cataclysmic will occur on Friday, December 21, 2012 which is said to be the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mayan long count calendar. They had many calendar and the calendar were quite accurate and chronologically precise to maintain track of time. According to their belief when the calendar reaches its end, the result will be the end of the world. However, some scientists believed that based on what Mayan calendar says, ‘new cycle’, it means the start of new era, serious disturbance or major change on earth of any sort in 2012 due to the polar reversal. However, we never know how accurate these prophecies really were since the predictions of those classic Maya has superstitious elements and spiritual cycles.

there is an ongoing polar reversal that will eventually have reverse polarity North and South pole.

happens around time of solar maximum. The true north is not in its original position that can only
be detected through the GPS. The magnetic poles exchange places at the peak of the sunspot
cycle, until year 2012 when they will reverse again. The transition happens at the peak of every
11 years sunspot cycle, like clockwork. The same thing occurs to the earth magnetic field that
flips with less regularity. Nobody knows exactly when the next reversal might occur since the last
740,000 years ago. According to simulation model, serious disturbances will occur such as
earthquake, volcanoes and tsunamis.
